Caufield has scored again. NWT with the video soon I assume. Burst of speed down the wing and buried his rebound. This after missing a partial breakaway earlier.

After Agostini ties it early in the third, Cole pops his second of the night. Is he any good so far? Yup.

We better trade him to the Laffs before he gets stale!
On another board, I can't stop digging into the Laffians with "everybody want to be a Laff" garbage.

Veilleux with the ENG. 5-3. Final score. Back in the win column after one setback. That #44 left a mark!

What i like about Pocket Rockets second goal was that he casually snaps in the rebound. If it was our regular spuds, 4 crest hits and a sky look......as if the Gods hate them.
He's going to kiling machine around the net...if he can take the punishment...

Great start for Caufield. Now we keep our fingers crossed that it isn't a repeat of Poehling's start with the Habs. Don't think so, but Bouchard is right to remind us it's just one game. He's trying to keep the pressure off Caufield, who is now expected to get 3 points every game.
Speaking of Poehling, that was a heck of a burst after he made his initial pass, to blow ahead of his backchecker. And also encouraging to note he did not hit the goalie's crest, but picked a high corner.

Clune with a hit on Caufield as he was going to the bench. The boys were quick to engage. On Clune’s next shift as he came out of the box for the hit, he met Michael Pezzetta who told him what the Rocket feel about the hit.

Rich Clown is more like it.
The guy is almost 34 and still scuttling around pro hockey. Why do these career minor leaguers pull crap like this?

Caufield tips a point shot from Bisson to give the Rocket a 4-2 lead. It held up as the GWG in a 4-3 victory for the good guys.

3 goals in 2 games and two game winners. This guy is too good for the AHL. If I saw it correctly it looks like he was hiding behind the net & slipped in front to make the tip. Beating a team from Toronto, no matter what league, is always nice.

I remember the Calgary game when Suzuki was blindsided by Backland of all people and no one stepped in. Its not like we have tiny guys on the team, no one on the team, especially the D, has reason not to do something to backlund.. nail him into the boards, hold him there and tell him if he does that again you'll break his legs

It will be interesting to see how this impacts Leskinen and Ouellet, who would be lost if one has to be on the Habs roster due to losing Mete to waivers (if it happens shortly), and with Merrill in quarantine and Chiarot injured. A shame for Laval if it is the case, as neither guy will likely see any NHL action once Merrill and Chiarot are good to go.

So being old and easily confused.....can CC be called up?
And while we're doing the "help the old man" thingy, when can Merrill join the Habs?

Both games against the Marlies this week postponed due to COVID on the Marlies. The Rocket’s only remaining games this month will be on the 21st and 30th.

Some of the guys are getting healthy, so when they do play it should be a stronger lineup. Belzile, Vejdemo, Ylönen, and Myšák are all skating. Bouchard said the first two are closer to returning. This pause will help guys get healed up.
