Okay. Who is the one who didn't pick Wright? Guilty. Just messing with everyone since I figure Slavosky is possible.

Yeah. A very hard fact is that Rome doesn't get built in a day, even with Red Bull. Having the patience and persistence to be bad for another year, perhaps even 2 more, to accumulate those potentially excellent players, is what will make or bend the franchise. Was talking to a friend of mine whose team needs a stud dman to complete what's necessary to be a real contender and he said it's so hard to get one. We agreed, you have to draft one. Full stop. We haven't got one, (as far as I can tell). If Hughes drafts Wright, we should have lots of centre strength for the next 7 years at least. We have a sniper and might have another lesser one in Ylonen. We can find another Kuemper if need be. We need a stud Dman at some point. Debrincat is now a senator for the 7th and 39th pick. debrincat traded to the senatorsSo if we had of gotten the 7th pick from Ottawa for Anderson and Dvorak (or Anderson and 26th pick) we easily could have gotten Debricat for the 7th and 33rd pick

So if we had of gotten the 7th pick from Ottawa for Anderson and Dvorak (or Anderson and 26th pick) we easily could have gotten Debricat for the 7th and 33rd pick I'm thinking if there was anything to it, it was more like Anderson + Dvorak + 26 for Murray and 7. The McDonough, Debrincat, Georgiev deals are showing how important cap space is. Teams with cap room right now can gain players for picks and prospects, and reduced value as well.

Fandual just dropped the odds that the Habs take Wright from -240 to -120. He's now dead even to Slafkovsky also at -120 Interesting

Looking at the Habs' table on the floor, is that Marty Lapointe in the white and grey plaid sportscoat?

The thing that concerns me is they are basing his rise on his playing in the Olympics and World championships against every country’s C and D teams
