Day one of training camp and the results of the medicals show a number of injured players already.
It begins!
Sad to see Edmundson “out indefinitely” after missing so much time last season. That defense corps cannot afford to go too long without one of its few veterans.
The Evans injury does not sound too serious if he is out on the ice for skating conditioning drills today.

It was always going to be a loooong season, but injuries may make it even more painful. Thankfully there is the hope of Bedard at the end of the tunnel.

I'm not sure how some of these guys can be still injured. They've been off for 3 months. If you didn't have surgery then you should be good to go.

I bet most of these are muscle strains and groins irritations from getting ready for the season. However Ed's injury has me worried. Wasn't it his back that kept him out of most of last season?

It hurts supporting the kids, which is needed for development, but helps Retard for Bedard.

Is this the same lower body injury Edmundson had in 2021-22? His absence will certainly weaken an already weak blue line contingent.

I hope Robidas is up to the task of developing these kids in what will be a very challenging year defensively. Otherwise... Bail hard for Bedard.

Apparently he and Suzuki crashed hard into each other in an informal skate a few weeks ago. Both were injured from it. Gorton confirmed yesterday that it is Eddy’s back. I just hope he is not out long or this season could get painful quickly.

The latest. Armia and Heineman did not finish the game last night. Only Suzuki listed as day to day.

Well, that is probably it for Heineman for this season. Is it not the case that his Swedish club has priority over Laval?
There sure have been a lot of injuries around the league during camp this year. If Suzuki is dealing with anything that will linger, the Habs are going to be in a bad place.

I agree it seems that the injuries across the league seem a lot higher than I ever remember. Sort of odd, as I thought the players used the summer to prepare. Unlike the good ol' days when the pre-season was used by the players to get in shape. It was expected they would show up out of shape, often 10-15 pound overweight, and no criticism. Often they had not skated for 3 months. I too am worried that this may be one of those injury prone seasons for Nick. Surprising and unfortunate given he has been pretty much injury free up to now. Good news is the latest injury is supposedly upper body, whereas the one he just recovered from was lower body - if you can believe these reports.

After last season’s disastrous number of man games lost to injury, I was so looking forward to a much healthier squad this year. How can it be worse? Not so fast…
And this list does not even take into account Price and Byron.

So Habs have RBC logo on their game jerseys and Scotia Bank on their practice. This gets more and more ridiculous. Both Habs and sponsors look ridiculous. Only a matter of time that Habs have Coke logo on left shoulder and Pepsi on the right.

Kinda seems like it came out of nowhere. Perhaps there’s been chronic discomfort.

I didn't like the patch, but I did like the logo on the right (below) ... it doesn't look out of place at all, and it has a long way to catch up to those cereal box patterns the European teams use ... so, are there parameters to follow, or would any logo do ... could we see "Viagra" and/or "Cialis" on a jersey, at some point in the future ... maybe some form of cryptocurrency ...
