Season ending knee surgery for Dvorak. Why not?

Why? Why this much wheel chair sharing? Are we out of condition?

Yet another serious injury...well, the fact that it has seemingly become commonplace does not make it any less unfortunate. Was there any official word on whether it was an ACL?
Anyway, whatever the precise type of knee injury it is, the fact that it required surgery makes it extremely unlikely that Dvorak gets moved during the off-season.

The trio is back in non-contact jerseys. Maybe they get a game or two in at some point before this season is over.

I'm thinking the worst for Josh Anderson ... the Hab injury list reminds me of Carousel ...
Cheers.

I just don't get them playing Guhle. I'm confidently guessing that the injury he's been 'nursing' is that high ankle sprain. Those things are really tricky and don't heal quickly. I have to question (without knowing all the facts, of course) why they would be playing him at the end of a meaningless season with all those other injuries to other players. Management is going to have to be tougher with both the players and the medical staff, if they're erring on the side of risk.

I'd be having discreet interviews with all players who have played on other NHL teams and asking them if they see any difference with Habs medical staff and the former team's. Maybe it's just bad luck, but it's too easy to blame things on bad luck. One needs to be proactive to change the "luck".

99.99% of the time that's ruled an awarded goal. Dangerous play as well...pulling a player off-balance heading toward a definite stop (boards/goalposts).

Agree. Looks like he uses his right foot & causes Andersonnto lise his balance.

Most likely a concussion if he went into protocol that OT. Just shut him down for the year; only 7 games left.

Sometimes you just have to be in awe of the bad luck.
Oh, and real news about Monahan. At least it wasn’t his hips again.

It's hard to believe the run of injuries that Monahan has gone through. He was pretty durable in the early years of his career but now it's just one serious injury after another.

Why only now would they realize he needs surgery? Hugo really need to look at the medical staff or outsource to experts because a player is an asset and when they are not playing your product is diminished... stop being buddy buddy and run this like a business...

Two hip surgeries (ask Paul Byron if those are easy to come back from) and now a groin surgery all in the last 24 months. Hockey is debatable, but I simply would wish him luck and say farewell.
And the timetable is really bad for him because over the summer no GMs or scouts will be able see evidence that he can skate like an NHLer. Basically I foresee Monahan having to take a one year/$1.2 million type deal or maybe even having to settle for a PTO.
Tough news for Belzile, eh? When did he break his leg? I hope they can get him to return to org next season with a nice raise on the AHL side of new deal.
