Something I find frustrating is when it looks like we have control and then mishandle the puck and turn it over. Instead of going on the attack, we’re chasing in our end, again. Hopefully just early season rust.

Not doing much so far. 7 minutes in and only 2 shots.

I have read that he is bigger. Maybe it's a tradeoff. The Habs website has him listed as 225 lbs I can't remember his exact weight last year, but I think it was around 215? Anyone remember? He was listed at 227 at 2022 rookie camp. For some reason 238 is what I thought he was in 2024.

Who has Nick Suzuki pointless after 3 games on their bingo card? He seems listless. No zip. And no points on Caulfield's goals.

Hutson found Suzuki on the backdoor
Some life from Suzuki. It wasn't a goal, but there was more effort

As a team they are battling much harder than they did against Bruins.

Hutson found Suzuki on the backdoor Some life from Suzuki. It wasn't a goal, but there was more effort Hutson is doing a lot of thing remarkably well. Even in defense. His anticipation is amazing and he cuts off dangerous passes. Sometimes it’ hard to follow his stick work, but he’s even better than I expected.

Ottawa does a ton of interference on players trying to go in to forecheck. You’re allowed a little but they do it mor blatantly than they should be allowed to.

Check your facts before trying to make a point with them. X had 3 goals total, 2 were slap shots. That's 66% of his goals were with his over 100 mph slapshot. When other then never has X been a power play fixture. And no, getting pop gun floaters to the net won't get you goals. Otherwise Hutson and Matheson would have a field day in primary assists. As recently as one game ago Guhle had two assists...from his shot from the blueline. Suprise, Guhle also has a 100 mph shot. Where were my facts wrong? So the only "fact" I stated was he got 2 slap shot goals. Checks it. Yep, he got 2. So those facts are right Now, you want analysis, not facts. Ok Xhekaj had 61 shots on net, he had 68 of his shots blocked, 31 of his shot attempts missed the net So he had 160 shot attempts , 42.5% of them get blocked. Of his 160 shot attempts, 8 slap slots actually hit the net. Yes he scored on 2. But it's a low percentage play The point shot throughout the NHL (regardless of type of shot) only results in a goal a very small percentage of time. I'll try to find the research, but it's like 5-10% of the time. So the slap is taken less than most, hits the net less , and result in a goal less. I'd prefer to find a way to get the puck to the high scoring areas in front of the net That's shots going through for 5 on 5. It changes on a power play, which X is a stranger to. Weber, Souray and company weren't on the power play because of their vision and passing skill, purely for their cannon.

I don’t trust NHL because they either hired the cheapest company or someone’s friend to compile them. I’ve seen too many instances when they’re plain wrong.
