It's going to be a very long year. A lot of mistakes. If they learn from them, then I can live with it. But I don't see any learning yet. Same mistakes every game so far, and how the youngest team in the league can be the slowest team in the league is beyond me The youngest team in the league is the most scared team in the league, lack of confidence and fear of screwing up give you a team playing scared.

DING DING!
Execution like that seems far away from our guys.

This team is missing something. They play like they don't care. They need that player on the team that hates to lose, that plays full throttle every shift but has some talent
It's 4-0 now, and the period is just half over ... ffs
Primeau I to the game, Monty off Team Canada. Thank-you Montreal Canadiens, you are ruining Monty

What was Evans doing there. New York had plenty of guys back and Evans is not going to snipe one with his muffin shot. Instead of getting it deep and finishing off a good kill, he hands the Rangers are fast breaking odd man rush.

At least it's not in Columbus, I remember when they shellacked us so bad they ran out of ammo for the canon

Well, if St. Louis hands Hutson 27-28 minutes tonight, he could finish -6 or -7. This team is hard to watch. I have decided to turn it off ... I'm not watching them give up 10 goals and hang the goalies out to dry simply because they can't make simple hockey plays like make a tape to tape pass in stride, or shoot on net when they have a chance And just as I'm signing out it's 4-1 ... Plain old hurt is not enough. Humiliation is much, much better.
Way too much "players coach" and super dupper system no one can understand. After a good humiliation there is no more Teflon left on Marty so he either does his job or...bye bye.
Teach the trap, off the glass, then develop from there...or were going nowhere fast.
And before I forget...X is the problem?

Just turned it on, saw the score and Monty been chased. Not gonna watch a blowout.
The most frustrating thing is they get better by even a little, same mistakes, same effort. Obviously MSL is no longer getting the job done.
Let's see who else is on CenterIce tonight

I haven't watched yet so let me guess...
...how many goals was Hutson on for?
...how many was Savard?
...how many was Mailman?
...how many was X? Oh wait.
I can guess and it won't be what Marty thinks.

What have we become. We are celebrating 45 yrs since our last dynasty, now?? . Why 45 years? It wasn't that long ago this board was poking fun at Toronto for pulling stunts like this. Wait the 5 years for 50 years, or if you are really desperate wait 2 years for the 50 anniversary of the 1976 Cup. We will be doing this all again in 5 years. And the ceremony? That was not up to the standards of this franchise. Parade them out and have two speeches and done ... very bland to me. I'm old enough to have seen the great 70s teams but I don't go around telling people how great things were then. It is nice to have history but it becomes embarrassing and kind of sad when your celebrating something that hasn't happened for half a century. It just plays into the stereotype of the Habs fan that keeps talking about the good old days because that's all we have to talk about. The joke I use ago hear a lot went like this: How many Habs fans does it take to change a lightbulb? Three. One to change the bulb and two guys to tell you how great the old light bulb was. Stop living in the past. I glad I didn't see this.

Is he right about those dates? The Rangers have been good for several years now and they signed Panarin to a huge deal in 2019. Thats not the kind of move you make in the midst of a rebuild.

We just went through the Bergevin decade where the alumni weren't exactly welcome around the team. Now, if they start selling 1976-79 Dynasty jerseys...that's where I'd draw the line.

Barron will miss a few games ... Trouba did Trouba things with a questionable hit
That was a clear hit to the head. If that's not a suspension, then no hit to the head is suspendable

Another instance of the goalie cheating on the pass by Hutson. Roof it blocker side. You got to at least try to keep them honest

As I was saying to Mrs Dis, it rarely goes well for the Habs after elaborate opening ceremonies, such as the one we saw tonight ... don't get me wrong, I liked seeing those players (less Larry Robinson and Jacques Lemaire), but I found it unnecessary, and I thought it helped motivate the Rangers ... as for the game, the first period was a comedy of errors/turnovers/etc ... Cayden Primeau is seeing more rubber than a dead skunk on the 401 ... Cheers.

Game 7 of the season, and the 5th game the opposition has scored 4 or more goals. The third we've given up 6 or more
