It seems that the Canadiens have given Lever permission to talk to other teams. Wilson, like Lever, is in the option year of his contract and he, too, hasn't heard anything from Montreal about what his future is with the organization. Both say they would welcome the chance to continue being a part of the organization and even consider returning to Hamilton to their former positions before Carbonneau was let loose.

Lever and Wilson have done a terrific job in Hamilton. I think Lever, at least, deserves to be an assistant in Montreal. It would be a real shame and a serious mistake if one or both of them went elsewhere.

I think one of the rags in Montreal mentioned not long ago that the team had been talking to Guy Boucher. Wilson and Boucher in Hamilton would be a good combo, imo.
