I feel sorry for them. That's not a good culture to drop in on. Add 19 year old Rimouski captain Simon Bourque to the list. He signed an ATO to get some games in. He will return to the Q next season due to age.

Dis, I always thought St. John's was 50% TML and 50% Habs. The Baby Leafs were a sensation here. The Baby Habs not so much. Whether it's the product on the ice, or the organization, or the realization that Montreal is moving to Laval regardless , I don't know, but there sure are a lot of empty seats. I had heard months ago that Danny Williams was actively searching eastern seaboard teams (the one that keeps popping up is Bridgeport) to move here more long term. But I haven't heard anything in months, and I wouldn't be surprised if Williams has decided that AHL won't work in this town unless it's TML. Thanks Skilly ... I was kind of hoping there'd be more interest for the Habs ... I guess a move to Laval would be a logical one for the IceCaps ... get those games in while you can, man ... Cheers. Even if they sold out every game , they are moving to Laval anyway .... It was the same thing when the realization hit that the Baby Leafs were moving to Toronto, and the Jets were moving to Thunder Bay , the attendance went down, interest dropped

IceCaps beat Utica 3-2 in OT. Fucale with 47 saves! DLR, Ellis and Gregoire with the goals.
Bourque and Addison both had their first AHL assist/point. Nice night for the kids.

Final today was 7-1 IceCaps. Hudon (2+1), McCarron, Scherbak and Ellis (all 1+1), Holloway and Johnston (2 assists), DLR (goal in second straight game), and Pasquale all had good games.

Here are the highlights of yesterday's 7-1 blowout win. Normally when you score 7, some are of the stinky or suspect variety. These were actually all good snipes. Hudon scored #27 and 28 last night. Still a puzzle why he has not stuck a little longer with the Habs yet. Oh well, it should come. m.youtube.com/watch?v=fM1h5uqNXwkAnd Saturday's 3-2 OT win. m.youtube.com/watch?v=36V9BnHnrfINote the DLR's two goals were both very good one timers from the right face off circle, a la Chucky. In the highlights, he had another good chance from the same place that was saved. Hmmm, the kid plays on the PP and looks like he is not an offensive black hole after all. Hope the Habs keep him down to start next year and let him further develop that offensive confidence.

Second last game of the season tonight, and Hartford came out on top 4-1. McCarron with the only goal. IceCaps sitting at 31 wins with one game left. The IceCaps worst season was 32 wins...hmm, might set a new franchise record for futility. Good thing Sly is coming back.

Bud Holloway signed a KHL contract today ... His offense will be missed on the farm I heard that this morning, too ... all I could envision was Bud carrying his own kit to games ... I was sort of hoping there'd be more to his story that CBC started ... good luck to him ... I'll probably follow him on Hockeydb.com ... Cheers.

His offense and leadership with a young team will be missed for sure. Guess he did not like the 7 minutes of NHL ice time that MT offered him this year. I am sure he will get a lot more rubles than his AHL salary too. Good luck to him, seemed like a class act.
