Kind of agree with Brian Burke. Because of McDonagh's style of play this will be a good deal for about 4 of those years. |

There is plenty of money being thrown around, but among the actual UFA (not the guys signing 12 months before they would have been on market) guys are not getting significant term.
Stastny accepted a relatively short term deal for good money on a good team. Van Reimsdyk is 29 and he only got 5 years (I think Pacioretty is unrealistic if he thinks anyone will give him 7 or 8 seasons). Perron is 30 and the Blues gave him four and they gave Bozak three. Ian Cole only three years from Colorado and Grabner three from Phoenix).

Matthews-Nylander and Tavares-Marner is a modern version of that 80s Oilers quartet. TSN talking about it now, offer sheets will be a real fear for a few guys next summer. If I'm another team, I'm doing it to squeeze them and put as much cap pressure on them as possible. |

Do the Leafs move Kadri now? Move him to a Top 6 wing if JVR goes?
