Sergei Bobrovski's condo is Columbus is apparently for sale; From watching the attached video I learned two things: * That Sergei Bobrovski really likes chandeliers * What happened to former Blue Jacket's defenseman Jean-Luc Grand Pierre My life is richer now for it. I learned it's possible for Columbus to have apartments list for nearly $3 million. That's what I got out of it too.

I know there is this often held feeling in this country that nobody loves hockey as much as Canadians and the Stanley Cup is hockey's holy grail.
If you have ever been to the IIHF men's championships in Europe, you get to realize the great profile of that tournament in Europe.
The Finns are quite enjoying their win so far...pretty cool to see.
And the crowd gathering in Helsinki to celebrate with the team.

Nice stuff NWT. Shows how big a deal the WC is in Europe. I'm sure it's viewed similarly as the World Cup is to a league championship. A Premier League title is great, but that's club teams.

Ya, we also love our fountains on rare occasions when we win the championship and booze has no role in partying... Celebration

Did I hear that right ... the Finns only have two NHLers on their roster ...
Cheers.

Did I hear that right ... the Finns only have two NHLers on their roster ... Cheers. That holds, two part-time NHLers: Juho Lammikko (40. 0+6) and Henri Jokiharju (38. 0+12). The story here says that Canada came surprisingly close to the championship even though they have very limited experience of Finnish Elite league. Only Kyle Turris with 21 games under his belt back in 2012-13.

Smart move by the Jets and the Flyers.
A lot of people were linking Hayes to Boston (probably not enough cap space unless they could get rid of Backes) and the Rangers (though I think they have bigger fish to chase like Panarin and Karlsson). However, the Flyers make sense in many ways. They have the cap space. They are really desperate to make the playoffs this season. Hayes has a good relationship with Vigneault. The positional need is there because I think they prefer to keep Giroux primarily on the wing to take some strain off of him and Nolan Patrick has not shown enough to want to bank on him as the 2C.

I'm reminded of a certain Galchenyuk making a goalie look like a fool at the Habs Summer camp in 2012. FWIW, I'm not sure that goal Newhook scored would have counted. His forward motion appears to stop to me.

His forward motion appears to stop to me. Define 'stop". Is it something like "goaltender interference"?
